A bit about me...
I have a closet full (bulging really, plus the room is getting filled up) of what most folks would toss out, I see it as craft and project 'materials'. I'll get an idea and hate to wait til we empty a cereal box or go grocery shopping (I've found so many new ways of reusing the plastic bags-they've been an issue for me since I saw an eye opener slide show- The Dangers of Plastic Bags)...I have been reusing materials for crafts and projects, for over 30 years and still find it challenging and exciting! I experiment with lots of different 'materials' trying to find the easiest, quickest way to make crafts or something useful and then try to share the ideas with anyone interested...
About the jewelry...
So I picked up a pinecone one day and left it sitting on my work bench for about week, thinking there has got to be something I could do with it. Well, the day came...I'll take it apart and just use the petals. Found out that's not such an easy task, those petals have sharp points on the ends! Anyway, I figured it out enough to have some petals that were'nt too damaged. So I'm looking down at these petals wondering...now what? I started putting them together in different patterns and finding really nice designs. Next thing I knew I was making x-mas tree pins,then earrings and matching necklaces to give out for holidays...all that evolved into so much more...check'em out and let me know what you think!ReUseItNut
